With great sadness ICLAS shares news of the death on June 20, 2020 of Dr. Liliana Pazos of Costa Rica. Dr. Pazos was the first Latin American to participate in ICLAS as a national representative. She embodied a contagious energy and joy, strongly encouraging the improvement of laboratory animal science. Dra. Pazos was an ICLAS enthusiast and actively advocated with her colleagues to assure Latin America had a presence on the ICLAS Governing Board. ICLAS is grateful to Dra. Pazos for her tireless work and dedication to our field. She has left us a valuable legacy of love and respect for animals used in experimentation.
