This award sponsors travel to, and participation in, the 70th National Meeting of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) to be held on Denver, CO., U.S. from October 13-17, 2019. The Spotlight Forum is, “One Health–Connections Between Animal, Human, and Environmental Health”. The award consists of a monetary award (up to a maximum of $2,000) to be used for costs of air travel and housing, associated with the annual AALAS meeting. In addition, a $500 honorarium will be provided to cover costs of meals, local travel, incidentals and any other expenses. The awardees will also have a guided tour of a local laboratory animal facility during their stay in Denver.
The Americas Regional Committee received applications from eight highly qualified applicants who were scored by a team of six judges all of whom represent member associations in the Americas region.
