Celebrating 30 Years of the ICLAS Travel Award
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the ICLAS Travel Award. Since its inception in 1995, this program has enabled more than 60 professionals from nearly every country in Latin America to attend the AALAS meeting in the United States.
The first recipient was Dr. Octavio Villanueva Sánchez in 1995. Since then, the award has impacted the careers of many professionals, many of whom have gone on to become presidents of their scientific societies in their respective countries and leaders in the field of laboratory animal science.
The opportunity to attend AALAS has been a milestone in their professional journey, and through this program, ICLAS fulfills its mission to support the development of laboratory animal science worldwide.
This award has only been possible thanks to the continued support of our sponsors. We extend our sincere thanks to Purina LabDiet and Charles River Laboratories, who have supported the program since the beginning, as well as LabProducts, Avidity Science, and all national, institutional, and scientific members who make ICLAS possible.
Our sincere thanks to all!
