The Americas Regional Committee has selected 3 laboratory animal specialists from Latin America & the Caribbean as the winners of the 2016 Travel Award, to attend this year’s American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) national meeting in Charlotte. There were 13 applicants from 6 nations who applied for the award this year. A panel of judges, representing ICLAS members from the region, were invited to participate in the selection of the winners.
This year’s awardees are:
- Humberto Morris, a researcher and veterinarian from Cuba
- Héctor Miguel Sandoval Landin, a veterinarian from Mexico City
- Isabel Quadros, a researcher from Brazil
